@pinkshirtmaker reveals how, with shirt making, it’s what’s unseen that matters. ⁠Take the example of fused collars: they are the norm in shirt making, with fabric being bonded onto the interlining with heat, glue and pressure. For all of our 100% cotton shirts, the collars are constructed unfused with a floating interlining.

This process is complex consisting of ten pattern pieces, each piece making the collar more durable, more wearable. Over time the collar moulds to the shape of the wearers neck for an intuitive fit.⁠⠀
