In September, I got a certain monkey off my back by completing my first full script for @summerhouse.us —an in-depth, hours long educational program hosted by my best friend and her entire team at @ladybirdstyling. Everyone brought their best, but the last night of rewrites was just me and her by the fire, tweaking the tweaks, as it should be. We shot over six days, learning new skills, new depths, and new meaning of the material she is teaching. For this shoot, which we wrapped last night, I was overcommitted. I have other clients and even agreed to having a painting show deadline coincide with production, just to challenge myself. But this project gave me energy, rather than taking it. I can only guess that it’s because of who these heavenly people are and what they’re up to. I’ve been saying it for years, but if you’re not paying attention to what @ladybirdstyling is *actually* up to, you should be.
