Growing up Lucan: 8 weeks to 6 months. Lucan’s love of his stool started early. We used it during his training sessions and he soon used it to crack us up!! We would ask him to put his feet on it and he wouldn’t disappoint with doing something unexpected and super silly!!

Even at 6 1/2 months and over 80lbs, he will go over to it and stand there with his feet on it during our training sessions. Well, last night, he decided to get all four of his huge paws on it and just sit!!! He stayed up there long enough for me to grab my phone from across the room and take some photos... he couldn’t have been happier!!

Lucan is turning into such a beautiful and amazing Ambassador for the center. He remains very friendly and happy to meet every new person. He is absolutely stunning and ever so “slightly” goofy 🤣😂..... okay, he is a lot goofy.

Lucan is such an excellent Ambassador due to genetics and a lot of nurture. It takes a lot of skilled training and time with him to temper some of his very strong instincts and allow his inner wolf to still shine. I can assure you to those wanting a wolf or wolf/dog, that these guys need to be with very experienced and skilled people who truly can understand and handle the temperament of whatever they get in that animal. We are fortunate that Lucan also has some@amazing genetics that seem to contain the right doggie/wolf DNA to give us an Ambassador we can use for our educational programs. There is a lot of responsibility with giving an animal like Lucan the right environment, support, enrichment and love to assist in being as amazing as he is!!
