Two works by Jean Dubuffet will highlight our Contemporary Art Evening Auction next week in #NYC: Executed in 1963 at the peak of Dubuffet’s artistic powers, ‘Rue Tournique Bourlique’ exemplifies the painterly skill and imaginative enthusiasm that define his esteemed ‘L’Hourloupe’ cycle. Swipe for ‘Le Messager’ - one of the most accomplished personnages from the artist’s ‘Paris Circus’ series. The paintings highlight a selection of works on offer on behalf of the Brooklyn Museum in our marquee auctions of Contemporary and Impressionist & Modern Art on 28 October in New York. The Museum’s proceeds from the sales will be used to establish a fund to support the care and preservation of the Museum’s world-class collections in perpetuity.
