Feeling a little 🌀

Artist Pedro Friedeberg is known for his surrealist works, from sculpture to murals to furniture. Inspired by architecture both ancient and modern, Friedberg creates mesmerizing spaces featuring animals, religious imagery, repeating shapes, and bold colors.

His works were a part of LACMA's 2018 exhibition "Found in Translation: Design in California and Mexico, 1915–1985," which examined how interconnections between California and Mexico shaped the material culture of each place, influencing how they presented themselves to the wider world.
