It is pretty much from anything. For me, food presentation is one of them. I talked about Kaiseki food before and today I want to talk about Nerikiri, a sweet bean cake that is often presented at the tea ceremony. The tea ceremony is almost always associated with the seasonal theme and Nerikiri plays a big role in the ceremony. I get inspired by its color, shape, focal point, and core theme. “Less is more” is often said in the design field. I get inspired by looking at them to create a simple beauty within the limited space.
