Born in Himeji, Japan in 1940, Takada debuted his first womenswear collection in 1970, quickly rising to prominence for his use of vibrant floral motifs and bold colours. “It is with immense sadness that Kenzo has learned of the passing of our founder,” said his eponymous label – which the designer stepped down from in 1999 – following the news of his death. “For half a century, Mr. Takada has been an emblematic personality in the fashion industry – always infusing creativity and colour into the world” ⠀ ⠀ RG @kenzo 🔁⠀」10月5日 20時33分
