Having limited mobility previously held me back, as the idea of climbing up the side of a mountain was rather daunting! Luckily, one evening in May, I arrived early and was able to park as close to the viewpoint as possible. After the short walk up the path to this viewpoint, I was rewarded by this stunning sight. I mounted my camera on the tripod with a graduated filter and took a series of images from different positions over the sunset period. I decided not to include the sky as it was quite plain and I wanted the focus to be on the winding road and the light/shadows. This was definitely one of those ‘wow’ moments, made all the more special by the considerable effort that it took to get there. I was still in agony a few days later but it was definitely worth it."
