In our October 2020 issue, we explored a Park Avenue apartment transformed by ED A-lister @stephensillsassociates, as seen on the cover. Sills shared with us his best advice for using antiques throughout a home:

1. Live with them and don’t be scared.

2. Put them next to something modern. Repeat.

3. Showrooms only get you so far. Be willing to hunt through auctions to find just the right thing waiting to be reborn. “Out of all these sales,” Sills says, “you’re lucky to find two or three things.”
