While I was born in Kamloops, I left for many years and it wasn’t until my husband and I decided to start a family that we realized that Interior of British Columbia was the place for us!⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Because of the long lovely days we spend exploring the lakes, rivers, mountains and forests of the British Columbia Interior with my beautiful children, my love for this place continues to grow. I’m continually amazed by how much beauty there is right in my own back yard!⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Following my spinal cord injury, I had many burning questions about how I would continue to access nature. With creativity, some adapted equipment, and our community’s dedication to making nature accessible for all, I’m continually discovering new places to explore and take my kids. If I can pass one thing on to these little people, I want it to be a love for getting outside in all the incredible places that surround us in Canada.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ We spend our days in the hills around Kamloops, at the lakes of the Shuswap and Nicola Valleys, and in the mountains of the Rockies -all so very close to where we rest our heads at night.
