Today, I visited my offices in Nottingham. I spent some time in my archive and unearthed these beautiful drawings done in 1978 by illustrator Colin Barnes of one of my early fashion shows and then went to say “hello” to the team in the warehouse which never fails to give me goosebumps.

In just a couple of weeks’ time it will be fifty years since I started Paul Smith from a tiny three metres by three metres space in the basement of a shop on Byard Lane in Nottingham. Look how far we’ve come!
