Over the years, she’s been helping feed her friends who live under the viaduct at 51st Street and Wentworth Avenue during the winter months. Virgil Abloh found Clark on Instagram through his network of friends and family. Her story and her grassroots work made him want to help. On July 2020, @virgilabloh and his @post_____modern platform supported the @englewoodbarbie 5013c “Hugs No Slugs” organization in order to provide safe places and resources on the South and Westside of Chicago via activations c/o @virgilabloh, @notre & @jumpman23. Clark opened her first safe house on May 25th 2020.
