片山正通さんのインスタグラム写真 - (片山正通Instagram)「Sir Terence Conran ( サー・テレンス・コンラン )がお亡くなりになりました。フリーランスになった24歳の頃( なんと30 年前 ) に初めて訪れたロンドン。お目当てのひとつにコンランショップのフラッグシップ訪問！がありました。1911年に建てられたミシュランの本社ビルを改装した、インテリアストアー ( 今の言い方だとライフスタイルストアー ) で、モダンファニチャーのディスプレーの横にコーヒースタンドがあって、香ばしい匂いが独特のシズル感を生んでいたなぁ〜。そしてシーフードレストランがあったり、オイスターバーがあったり、可愛いフラワーショップがあったり、ブックショップがあったり・・・それはまるで夢のような空間でした。“ デザインを純粋に楽しんでいいんだ ” って教えてくれたのはサー・テレンス・コンラン。心から御冥福をお祈り致します。 Sir Terence Conran has passed away. I first visited London when I was 24 years old (30 years ago) when I became freelance interior designer. One of objective was to visit the flagship of The Conran Shop! had. A former Michelin headquarters building built in 1911, the interior store (now called the lifestyle store) has a coffee stand next to the modern furniture display, and the coffee scent created a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. And there's a seafood restaurant, an oyster bar, a cute flower shop, a book shop ... it was like a dream. Sir Terence Conran taught me that I can actually enjoy design.
