She is pretty manic with her toys and like our other US fox rescue, Libby, is prone to resource guarding with her toys and trying to find a place to bury them. We do not see this behavior in the Russians and we also do not see this behavior in Ishy, our other US fox. Ishy didn’t grow up around other US foxes, she was raised with the Russian foxes. Both Vinnie and Libby were raised with their siblings. They both run around screaming and trying to grab ALL the toys and bury them or hide them in their corner. In comparison, the Russian foxes saunter out each making a beeline for me to say hello, Viktor jumps in my lap for hugs and love, Mikhail rolls on his back and begs for belly rubs, and Maksa, with a huge smile on her face, waits patiently to also be pet.
