It was the first and only commentary I know where we get into an argument in the middle of it. For those of you who don’t know #TheSpecialsMovie I’m the little guy on @roblowe’s shoulder, Minute Man - pronounced MyNoot). It was the second movie I wrote, and the movie that got me to move from NYC to LA. The screenplay got me a manager, and agent, and led to every bit of work. I’ve had since. In just a couple months time I went from living in @thejamiekennedy’s guest house and taking out loans on my Discover card (I don’t suggest this) to making pretty good money at movie studios. The movie, about a group of third rate superheroes on their day off, really is ahead of its time in a lot of ways, which was cool to see. And there was a lot of sadness to watching it as well - mostly my memories of huge creative battles behind-the-scenes, and, even more so, seeing Jim Zulevic, one of my first friends in LA, who passed away a couple years later.
