Today is World Suicide Prevention Day 🌎❤️ Every 40 seconds, someone dies from suicide. I lost one of my friends this year to suicide. Globally 800,000 people die from suicide every year – that's twice the number from homicide. 90% of people who die by suicide have a mental health condition at the time of their death. In this digital age where things like online trolling, malicious cyber bullying & hate inciting in search of views & engagement are so common, it is important for us to spread love & kindness & make sure we are checking in on friends & family. A small act of kindness to a stranger could make all the difference to them. The best thing of all is, the way we are designed, being kind is not only good for the mental health of others, but also ourselves! 🧠✨❤️ #worldsuicidepreventionday #mentalhealthawareness
