Chatting with founders of When We Band Together, Xander and Zoe Schultz about the upcoming project of building the Dave Schultz Sport & Wellness Center. The center will provide refugees in Lesvos, Greece with a variety of resources, including wrestling, yoga and other programs.

​“The dream is for the Center to become a sanctuary, where communities can step out of the daily stress of the refugee camp into a peaceful physical space, free to cultivate mind and body.

Moria Refugee Camp on the island of Lesvos, Greece, has been described as the “worst refugee camp on earth” by the BBC. Constructed for 2,500 people, the camp currently houses 20,000. Displacement, trauma, extreme overcrowding, and unsanitary conditions make life within the camp dangerous and stressful.”
