We’re thrilled that Michaela Coel, the BAFTA award-winning actor, director, screenwriter, producer, playwright and poet is joining us to champion this year’s campaign. “When presented with the data from Oxfam, I felt compelled to add my voice to this cause; I hope it raises awareness and encourages us to reflect on our buying habits and to consider how small changes can have a huge impact on the environment –and in turn the fight against poverty". Every year, 336,000 tonnes of clothing end up in UK landfill. Last year, 62,000 of us took positive action by pledging to shop second hand for a month.
