A few days ago, I shared a photograph of Rajini’s little boy, Tanu, sleeping on his mama’s bed at their home in Caron village in West Bengal. This is the ever pleasant mama, through all the beautiful red and sparklingness of her curtain. Ranjini was carrying Tanu wrapped to her back while sweeping the courtyard. Was a lovely afternoon with the family of immense kindness, discussions on working in the tea plantations, and many warm cups of milky sweet chai I can’t easily forget.
