Veundja Katuuo is an Herero-American wellness activist, artist & entrepreneur committed to redefining wellness by the disrupting the socio-normative constructs of race and relativity through empathetic conversations and curated social events with Well & Fly Studios, an creative wellness studio. “I’ve explored the cost of self agency as a Black Indigenous Woman to better understand the root of my own identity within the human diaspora and how it relates to the inherent constructs of racism. My protests have evolved from being on the front lines into partnering with companies like Prabal Gurung to amplify my voice; for my tribe of Herero descendants of genocide, women, LGBTQIA family and friends as well as the kings and queens of the African diaspora and our allies. Representation matters, I grew up in the states with access and privilege my cousins may never experience. Showing up for them on social media in these times, allows them to openly see someone familiar holding the door open for their self expression. Of course it unifies us in these daunting times. These days, I’m working to diminish voter suppression with Protect the Polls.
