That, in turn, paid for 33,000 meals. But instead of just sending a check, the #smodco team volunteered to help with food distribution for 3,000 Angelenos in the parking lot of the @hollywoodbowl. The whole morning took me back to moments from my own childhood, when we’d get the blocks of Government cheese that made the perfect grilled cheese sandwich - a sandwich that, in my mind, still tastes like a happy childhood. FYI: If you wanna donate to the #lafoodbank, one dollar is equal to four meals. So a $10 donation buys 40 meals for folks who find themselves food insecure at the moment.
