I can only hope that today’s sentencing of the killer to life without parole can offer some kind of closure to the innocent people who were robbed of their lives and for their loved ones who have to carry on. I wish I could have thanked each person who welcomed me to this great city under such harsh circumstances, when I was taking photos of such intimate moments that should never have had to happen.
