Have you ever been to one of our catwalk shows?⠀
Normally, today would be the day we had our show at Fashion Week.⠀
Always on that Wednesday during the last week of August. This is usually the most hectic week of the entire year for us! Running on adrenaline and nervous optimism, visualizing the best show we can do. Anything can go wrong but failure is not an option.⠀

It’s a strange feeling to not be doing a show this year. These shows for us are a way of celebrating the work, but more importantly we always felt these shows were to bring everyone together. We work with such a wide group of fiercely talented people to pull these shows off over about 2-3 months of high intensity. Many of these people become your close-knit family.⠀

The shows themselves are electric! The energy & anticipation they generate is insane. A combination of all the hard work contributed by everyone, some clever showmanship, and the completely diverse mix of people that attend. We have people from all walks of life that perhaps wouldn’t hang out together usually, but these shows bring them all together and the result is always beautiful. Something you wouldn’t have guessed, it just works. From Co-creatives, musicians and art-school dropouts, to sponsors and corporate clients, to media models and non-models, to customers and wholesale buyers.⠀

With the way the world has changed over the last 8 months, what will become of the fashion show? Do we need fashion shows? What will they look like post-covid? What do you want from a fashion show?⠀

When the show is about the art but also about bringing the people together, and the show can be earth-friendly (and we don’t have a global pandemic) then the fashion show still has a purpose.⠀

Stolen Girlfriends Club has always been about entertaining and moving people, just as much as it is about the art. Events are how we express ourselves and how we connect with you, it's what we love to do.
