Demonstrators march in Kenosha, Wisc., on Aug. 24, the day after video footage showed police shooting a Black man multiple times in the back. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump said in a statement on Monday that Jacob Blake was "helping to deescalate a domestic incident when police drew their weapons and tasered him." Blake was at the scene "to break up a fight," witnesses told @kenoshanews. When he walked to a nearby parked vehicle, opened the driver's side door and leaned inside, "police fired their weapons several times into his back at point blank range." Blake's three sons in the vehicle "witnessed their father collapse after being riddled with bullets," Crump adds. Blake, 29, remains hospitalized, the Associated Press reports.
