The West African country of Benin this year launched an innovative program to distribute bed nets, one of the most effective tools to help save lives from malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases.

Using smartphones, real time data collection, satellite mapping and other surveillance techniques, Benin’s distribution program give health officials the data they need to provide full bed net coverage across the country.
