Basically peanut butter on a tortilla with seeds, nuts and dried fruit. Drizzle honey if you have it. I’m definitely making it next time. This past trip we went vegan, organic, and gluten-free. It’s amazing what options we had.⁣ ⁣ Before this, my longest hike was 9 miles at Dolly Sods. I actually found beaver dams and two beaver dens. That same day I found an orange newt. My favorite part of hiking is taking nature pictures. I live right next to the AT and walk about two miles on it every other day. I see black bear every once in a while but they just run off when they see me.⁣ ⁣ I got these shoes right before the trip. The Dolly aside, WV is the highest plateau east of the Mississippi. It is considered a permafrost tundra, with a very wet, muddy, and rocky terrain. These boots did well when going through the bogs and creeks. I was able to dry them out quickly at night.
