1️⃣ Wear a visor as well as a mask.
2️⃣ Have breaks in between clients to remove masks as it’s exhausting. It feels like running in the sand.
3️⃣ I have three sets of cutting equipment to rotate through and reset the station up again. All my brushes are in a UV sterilizer cabinet. Several sets as well are sprayed with Barbicide.
4️⃣ No talking while blow drying unless masked for the above reason. Especially if you have others in the room.
5️⃣ Swap out your aprons in between each guest.
6️⃣ No talking at the shampoo basin.
7️⃣ Use spatulas or teaspoons to use products. No double dipping.
8️⃣ Put all client gowns into washing machine straight away or leave to the end of day. When you lift out of the hamper, they could cross containment.
9️⃣ Clean everything a client has touch straight away.
🔟 I clean and sterilize before I leave. I cut the air off at night to allow to anything circulating to fall. When I arrive, I do the same sterilizing routine and wash all the floors as well.
1️⃣1️⃣ You must book a lunchtime. You will need time to breathe, rest and eat.
1️⃣2️⃣ Set up color station when the client is there. Don’t leave things out. The more things left out, the more you have to sterilize them.
1️⃣3️⃣ Stop visits to retails. Instead, get the products for the clients.
