「Better Times Will Come」はアメリカのシンガーソングライター・ジャニスイアンさんが「コロナで疲弊している皆さんを勇気づけ、コロナに立ち向かおう」という想いを込めて作った楽曲です。
ジャニスイアンさんの呼びかけで各国のアーティストがカバーするこのプロジェクトに参加させていただきました。
ギターは知人の紹介で柳沢二三男さんに弾いていただきました。

当たり前だと思っていた日常は
当たり前じゃなくて
それはとても幸せなことだったんだなって気づかされて
目の前の辛く悲しいことや困難にも
みんなで強い気持ちを持って向かい、乗り越えていけるよう
そしてまた当たり前の日常を幸せに過ごせるように
そんな思いをのせて歌いました。

What I thought was normal everyday life
turned out to be anything but. I realized something so joyful,
that the sadness and trouble we face can be overcome when everyone
comes together to defeat it. Then, true joy can be found in normal everyday life.
I sang while embracing this feeling.


Growing up in a provincial city near Tokyo that commands a view of Mt. Fuji, Kaya showed musical promise from an early age, earning award after award at competitions and auditions. Her breakout came when she reached the number 1 spot in the 2019 TV program and singing competition “Music Champ -UTA UMA –Japan #1 Battle”. Only this spring she arrived in Tokyo to devote herself whole-heartedly to music, but her authentic singing voice is already touching hearts.
We can hardly wait to see where her career takes her next.
