We achieved something. 50-A was a law that meant that police discipline records were kept secret. After George Floyd was murdered, we fought and got that law repealed and now we finally have this data. You can see clear patterns in the abuse of power here. Take Daniel Sbarra for instance, a white male Lieutenant in the Organized Crime Investigation Division. Of the 69 allegations against Sbarra where race and ethnicity data was recorded, 58 of the allegations came from Black civilians and 11 were Hispanic (yep, that's right, not a single complaint from a white person). The allegations include offensive language, abuse of authority and use of force.
