I had the privilege of providing flowers for the passing of a dear friends father. The flowers were a combination of flowers native to Australia, where My friends Dad was from. In Japan, traditionally the funerals are mostly a Buddhist affair, so the flowers are limited to white chrysanthemums and Lily’s. I was actually a little nervous going completely against the traditional rules, but I’m glad I did. The family was happy and in the end, that’s all that matters. RIP and thank you for reminding me of how special my job is.
