7/26はInternational Mangrove dayだそうで @sustainsurf にグラフィックを提供しました。マングローブは二酸化炭素の吸収が多く、複雑に入り組んだ根のおかげで木の周辺は沢山の生物が住む良い環境をつくるそうです。また海岸の侵食を防ぐ自然の防波堤としての機能もあるそうです。Tシャツ1枚につき10本のマングローブがインドネシアに植えられます。 @sustainsurf はマングローブの植林の他、年々減っているジャイアントケルプの植林、珊瑚の移植、保全も行っています。
