We had planned to be racing in Tokyo, instead we are back training in Australia - and cracking terrible jokes. I would not be the athlete I am today without the patience, guidence and support I have received from Simon. We have ridden the sporting Rollercoaster together - celebrated the ups, and commiserated the downs. I stumbled into his pool as a 9 year old kid who had just moved Australia - I was simply looking for a way to make friends in my new home. Little did I know the journey we were about to embark on. No athlete makes it alone - there is a team of people behind us, and I'm so lucky to have had Simon in my team since day one. Can't wait to see what we can do in the next 12 months 💪 . P.
