After spending last week working with the team at our new store Playpark Wellington (111 Victoria St) Karen’s staying local for a family holiday exploring @WellingtonNZ, checking out some of the spots many of you recommended to us recently.
Here are a few of @カレンウォーカー’s highlights from the weekend:
1. @PegasusBooksNZ - No afternoon spent exploring a city’s complete without a book shop and Wellington’s best for second-hand is Pegasus books. Came away with five books to add to the pile.
2. A lovely morning at @KatherineMansfieldHouse – going to pull out my collected short stories to reread ASAP.
3 & 4. @WellingtonChocolateFactory – A must-visit when in Wgtn. The hot chocolate’s unbeatable.
5. @visit_zealandia twilight tour. More to come on this magical urban ecosanctuary!
6. Incredible treat - fine dining experience at @Hiakai_NZ by @ChefMomoFiso celebrating Matariki. Highlight: the parsnip ice cream.
7. Who knew cycling up Mt Victoria could be such a breeze?! Love those e-bikes from @SwitchedOnBikes. Thanks Jimmy for showing us this special part of the city.
8. A remarkably still day in Wellington with only two yachts out struggling to catch the merest whisper of a breeze.
9. @LorettaonCuba has long been a favourite of mine in Wellington - particularly for their pizza which is astonishing.
