We focus on Black women who have broken through the dual barriers of racism and sexism. Who have lived lives of protest and claimed the space to fulfill their potential, in a world that tells us we do not fit the mold. We’re spotlighting Shirley Chisholm - the first Black woman in Congress and the first to make a presidential bid, as well as the National Coalition of 100 Black Women (@nc100bwinc), an organization focused on nurturing black women leaders in all realms of society to name a few. We’re also giving you more opportunities to get involved in the fight for the soul of our nation — to sign a petition for justice for Breonna Taylor and register to vote.
