"Bringing Japanese aesthetics to colors and patterns. Special exhibition #KIMONO is held at Tokyo National Museum.

The finale of the exhibition will be decorated by YOSHIKIMONO, a designer by world-famous artist YOSHIKI. Seven looks have been exhibited this time from the 2020S/S collection announced at the #Tokyo collection last October.
The center's look is made by crimping foil onto crimp dyed silk. The second from the right, "#MARVEL", is an American comic "#BloodRedDragon" inspired by YOSHIKI himself. Both of them have a fukuro obi with the same pattern, creating a cool and dynamism-like style. The bare top dress attire is built entirely from one piece of kimono.

YOSHIKIMONO approaches as fashion without being bound by rules, and preconceived ideas under the theme of "fusion of tradition and innovation". The creation teaches us that kimono is a fashionable outfit that grows in time with the new age.

日本の美意識を色と柄に宿して。#東京国立博物館 で、特別展「#きもの　#KIMONO」が開催。

展示のフィナーレを飾るのは、世界的アーティスト #YOSHIKI がデザイナーを務める #YOSHIKIMONO。昨年10月の #東京コレクション で発表した2020S/Sコレクションから、今回7体のルックが出展されている。
センターのルック「変わり市松」は、引染めしたシルクに箔を圧着。右から二番目の「MARVEL」は、YOSHIKI自身がヒーローとなった、アメリカン・コミック「ブラッド・レッド・ドラゴン」がプリントされて。いずれも同柄の袋帯で身頃をひと繫がりに見せ、クールでダイナミズム溢れるスタイルを創り出した。ベアトップドレスの装いは、すべて一領のきもので構築している。

「伝統と革新の融合」をテーマに、ルールや既成概念に囚われることなく、ファッションとしてアプローチするYOSHIKIMONO。そのクリエーションは、きものが新しい時代にマッチしながら成長していく、ファッション性に富んだ衣装であることを、私たちに教えてくれる。
