A story Made in France

The son of a former spice trader, Guerlain founder Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain was surrounded by fragrance from his early childhood. At the age of 30, he created the House that was to bear his name, building its first factory - 'La Savonnerie' - on the Place de l'Etoile, not far from the then-incomplete Arc de Triomphe.

Within a few years, Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain was selling perfume and beauty products to the cream of Parisian society at his luxurious boutique on Rue de Rivoli. Today, almost two centuries later, the Maison Guerlain continues to produce its creations in France at its own production sites.
