What people call empathy is wrong, not the feeling, but the description of what happens. In the dictionary, empathy means “The ability to understand and share the feelings of another...” The feeling is real, but not what causes it. The cause is not because you understood the feelings of another person, but what Existentially happens, is that for a moment, you broke the appearance that we are many so you connect automatically to what happened to the “Other person”, but in reality, there’s no other person, there’s only YOU. Or ME, from my point of view. The Mayans used to greet themselves by saying “In Lake ’ch”, which means, I am another reflection of you. Or like when the Japanese bow to greet somebody else, you know that I consider Zen the highest peak of Consciousness known to man on the Planet (Besides the Mayans Of course), so originally, bowing to greet the other was a gesture that your inner self had been recognized inside the other person. And do you know that the word “Person” means mask? Because it’s fake, a person is fake, the only thing that is real is where the person came from and where the person will go to. Do you remember Dori from Finding Nemo, she was always looking for the Ocean. That’s us, that’s a Zen parable. We are looking for God, Nirvana, The Kingdom Of Heaven, the Tao, Mahamudra, or whatsoever you want to call it, yet, we came from it, we are made from it, we live in it, and our bodies will disappear into it. Yet, we are looking for it. Why do you think that the Universe is so beautiful? Because you’re looking at God through God’s eyes. Do you know that the word Divine and the word Devil come from the same root, Deva, which means Divinity? This is the real significance of the word OmniPresent. Some of you will understand these words intellectually, some will say that I’m stupid because it’s completely out of their grasp momentarily, but very few will have something that clicks in them and they will really understand on an Existential way. This is the Law. The Existential Law. And remember, the fact that you don’t know about something doesn’t mean that that something doesn’t exist. So be watchful...
