Today, on July 4, 2020, Crystal begins a 300 mile journey through the Super Hiking Trail (SHT) to raise money and awareness for PGM ONE, The People of the Global Majority in the Outdoors, Nature, and Environment. ⁠ ⁠ “As a writer, activist, and Black outdoor leader, I am choosing to speak out against racial injustice in the United States. For BIPOC to feel safe in the outdoors, it's going to require a complete paradigm shift. BIPOC need to see ourselves represented in the outdoors and understand our connection with nature.
