He learned to climb with his dad, Brad, about five years ago and quickly progressed through grades. Recently, he sent his first 5.13, a powerful line on the steep left side of the crag called Mudra (5.13a). Christian’s not just interested in hard climbing, though. He and Brad started a little climbing gym in Wailuku and often play host to new climbers.
