#repost @constablec29 Pride 2020: It’s the 50th anniversary of the first Gay Rights Protest March, the year following the Stonewall Riots, and the mood very much matches that first protest. A half a century later as a cis gay man, I have to take my stand in solidarity, and pay respects and gratitude and follow the message to Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, to try and amplify the collective voice of our community and try to end the transphobic brutalization, the murders, of Black and Brown trans lives, and the lives of Black men and women from police brutality and systemic racism.
