Happy pride everyone! I’ve thought a lot the last couple days about what pride means to me. It means being any version of myself I want to be at any given moment. I used to feel deep shame about the things that made me different but now I know that those things that make me different are my superpower. So why lipstick? As a makeup artist I test makeup on myself all day but not until quarantine did I start sharing it publicly. I had to unpack a lot of shame about this and why I felt this way. The opposite of shame is PRIDE and I am absolutely proud to share with you this image on Gay Pride, a day that has meant so much for me for so long.
