This year we are joining forces with @NYCPride to share our platform with LGBTQ+ creatives to share what #NYCPride means to them. Introducing @yaz.so.mean an NYC based skateboarder, model, and artist (she/her) “2020, so far, has proven to be a year of spontaneity, empowerment, sustainability, community, growth, and most importantly: PRIDE. The movement can be defined as, but not limited to, recognizing & embracing the unapologetic self-affirmation, equality, and visibility of LGBTQ on ALL spectrums. This month and moving forward, I'm collaborating with another dope queer skater of color Kava Vasquez @uncouthyouth to create a new zine publication called @city_ratz !! A zine "by sk8rz 4 sk8rz" -- not only focusing on sharing and celebrating the narratives/stories of NYC skaters of color and beyond, but also to inform, explore, and express their ideas, art, & concepts. I'm excited to be part of an outlet that can add something refreshing and authentic to the movement and my everyday life. What do you hold pride for?”
