I announced it first to the subscribers of my newsletter and - the response has been so incredibly touching and beautiful. . I just needed to change the way I was doing things. The system that is in place right now just didn’t work for me anymore. I needed to create a safe place, to express myself freely as I have always liked to do, but also to give more space to my readers to share with me and with each other. . The platform I just launched won’t rely on advertising. It is my personal project. No editorial team. Just me - but it’s also built by the voices of an incredible community of (mostly women) who, as I realized lately because that’s what I’ve been personally craving, need a place where they can find support and community. . Instagram is great for many things but it can’t be everything - and it shouldn’t try to be! As a writer trying to sum everything up in 2200 characters doesn’t leave a lot of place for subtlety. . The response I got yesterday brought tears to my eyes. For those of you who have been following me since the beginning, when we were “the weirdos who don’t have a life” (that’s how bloggers used to seen as, ah!) - I found that sense of support and community, of equality and excitement that I hadn’t felt for years. . I’ll post a video soon that explains my project and my reasons to change everything. . @dore is still going strong by the way, and I am still overseeing it!
