With three distinct horns on its head, the Jackson’s chameleon vaguely resembles a triceratops. Native to Kenya and Tanzania, this species starts its day basking in the sun, gradually becoming more active as its body warms up. Its color-changing skin provides perfect camouflage while the chameleon searches for snails, centipedes, and other small prey insects. While on the hunt, the Jackson’s chameleon relies heavily on its eyes, which can move independently, scanning for prey and potential threats simultaneously. #chameleon #eyes #horns #PhotoArk #savetogether
