There is no shortage of gorgeous, black owned and run businesses like this one, and I implore you all to keep sharing and amplifying black voices and supporting black owned businesses. This isn’t an ad, (I paid for these pieces myself!) just a brand I genuinely think is beautiful ♥️ @omathelabel is a brand focused on challenging homogenous industry standards, while creating quality and affordable pieces for the everyday woman. The brand was created by Neumi Anekhe, a New York based fashion stylist that started the brand in 2018, because she saw a need for more brands representing people of color. She wanted to help diversify the markets, change the imagery and predominant representation that we see in fashion today. The names of the pieces are a mix of Norwegian, Nigerian and American names. The reason being that Neumi was born and raised in Norway to Nigerian parents.
