I remember the day @auntginny and mom bought me my @huffybicycles Thunder Road 54. Brought it to aunt Eleanor’s house and Rode it up and down 24th street and 10th ave. It had training wheels and they were all scared to take them off. Finally my dad was like “nawl” and taught me how to balance one Saturday afternoon. We had a walkie talkie safety system to alert me to incoming cars. It worked for about 10 mins until I went out of range and got hit by a green Chevy Nova. I walked away mostly unscathed and Moms gave him the business but it put me on a path and I was jumping off ramps, trails and eventually half pipes soon afterward. Today on Father’s Day we continue the cycle. Happy and blessed Father’s Day to you all. Keep being the super heros (or villains) our babies need, and know when to take them training wheels off.
