On Father's Day, Bremont Co-Founder, Giles English, shares what the gift of a watch meant to him
"When I was a teenager, my father gave me the gift of a watch. When I looked at my wrist I thought of my Grandfather who it had originally belonged to. I thought of him on the D-Day beaches as a doctor, him finding his cousin in a Japanese concentration camp after he was sent in to treat solders, and when he designed the first practical ICU ventilator at Brompton Hospital London. The fact that my father had trusted me with something so special was a privilege.
Five years after I received this gift from my father he sadly died, and this watch played a massive role in making us want to start building watches. The simplicity of those early 40s watch designs is what inspired Bremont’s 40mm watch collections.
