Carbon-fibre forms an integral part of the McLaren F1 GTR. Like our modern-day road cars, it helped keep it light, which improved handling and helped contribute to its incredible racing performance. Inside, the centre-seat arrangement makes for a unique driving experience. For a racing driver, it meant the F1 GTR felt more like a fighter jet, with controls and gauges wrapping around them.
