I met some incredible people on the trip who invited me into their homes in the camp and told me their stories so I could learn more about the situation and educate myself. Right now, due to COVID-19, I’m more worried than ever about them. Living in cramped conditions, social distancing is almost impossible and maintaining good hygiene is challenging. UNCHR staff are staying and delivering essentials like soap and hygiene kits to prevent the spread of COVID amongst some of the most vulnerable refugees, but we can ALL help and make a difference.
