On June 19, 1865, enslaved African-Americans in Galveston, Texas, were told they were free.
It is a sad fact that #juneteenth even has to exist but it should be a national holiday to celebrate African-Americans freedom and also for everyone to acknowledge the history and the racism that still exists from the past.
All lives can’t matter until black lives matter.
